▶︎ Position Overview:
This position is responsible for leading and delivering digital transformation (DX) initiatives for Japanese manufacturing clients in the U.S. and Mexico. The Consultant will identify client challenges, propose digital solutions, lead project execution, and build long-term, trusted advisory relationships with client executives. This is a client-facing role requiring strong bilingual/multilingual communication and deep knowledge of both manufacturing and IT.
▶︎ What will you do:
• Lead and propose DX strategies and implementation projects tailored to Japanese manufacturing clients in North and Central America.
•Act as Project Manager, responsible for end-to-end delivery of DX solutions including MES, CMMS, and other manufacturing systems.
• Develop and propose tailored IT solutions and partnerships suited to Japanese manufacturers' needs and operations.
• Act as an Account Manager and Trusted Advisor for key clients, cultivating executive-level relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
• Lead business development efforts to expand accounts and uncover new project opportunities.
• Contribute to the company’s growth by delivering high-quality consulting and identifying scalable solutions for the manufacturing sector.
• Strong ability in:
- Analyzing client needs and business processes
- Sucturing and communicating solutions effectively
- Managing stakeholders across business and technical teams
• Comfortable working in multilingual environments; must be capable of operating independently in English
• Excellent team collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of Japanese manufacturing culture and operations
• Japanese or Spanish: Business-level proficiency in at least one (required) This role requires direct communication with Japanese manufacturers in the U.S. and Mexico. Projects involve multilingual stakeholders including Japanese expats and local teams. Language skills are essential for accurate coordination and trust building.
▶︎ Required Qualifications & Skills:
• 10+ years of experience in IT planning, consulting, or digital transformation within the manufacturing sector (experience in a consulting firm or manufacturing IT department is preferred)
• Experience in MES, CMMS, PLM, and other core manufacturing systems such as ERP, SCM, and QMS is highly valued.
• Experience in delivering multiple IT or transformation projects, ideally in a cross-functional or multicultural environment
• Experience contributing to the development of consulting methodologies or service offerings
• Experience with change management in multinational or multi-departmental contexts
• Familiarity with concepts in enterprise architecture, cloud, AI, data, or automation • Awareness of emerging trends in smart manufacturing, DX, or operational technologies
Certifications
