▶︎ Position Overview: The client company is located just 17 miles west of Downtown Columbus in West Jefferson, Ohio. Their company has been serving customers from Ohio since 1990 and from their parent company in Japan since 1944. Their customer base includes national retailers and leading manufacturers in aerospace, guitar, and automotive industries.
In order to achieve their vision for the organization, they want to accelerate digital transformation. They are seeking an IT Manager to strengthen IT capabilities for their manufacturing facility in Ohio. This role is essential in ensuring IT stability, security, and efficiency. It is a broad role that supports many areas of IT including networking, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, desktop support, ERP support, and managing third-party vendors. The position reports to the IT Controller.
The role requires close coordination with internal stakeholders and external IT vendors, ensuring seamless communication and strategic planning. Currently, IT responsibilities are handled reactively, so they are looking for a professional who can both troubleshoot immediate issues and drive long-term improvements from a company-wide and mid-to-long-term perspective. The IT Manager will also support executive management for both internal and external communications.
▶︎ What will you do:
• IT Infrastructure Management: Act as a liaison between internal teams and external vendors to achieve objectives. Manage vendor relationships. Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft cloud and on-prem environments including Windows-based Remote Desktop Servers and Azure VMs. Oversee network infrastructure and Active Directory. Manage user accounts and ensure system functionality across the facility.
• Cybersecurity Management: Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to implement and oversee cybersecurity measures using tools like Trend Micro, Mimecast, and Microsoft Defender. Monitor risks, improve incident response plans, ensure compliance with policies, provide training, and build long-term cybersecurity strategies.
• Hardware & Software Management: Oversee IT hardware and software including printers, barcode scanners, surveillance cameras, and factory systems. Coordinate with vendors as needed. Optimize front office and factory IT operations. Plan long-term improvements.
• ERP/SAP Business One Management: Act as liaison with internal users and SAP consultants. Resolve ERP-related issues and contribute to long-term system enhancements.
• Elevating Organizational IT Capability: Develop IT strategy with leadership. Maintain documentation and improve adoption of automation tools like Power Automate and Power BI. Align IT with business goals, report to leadership, and partner with vendors to implement best practices and proactive solutions.
▶︎ Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Fluency in English
• Associate’s degree or higher in Information Technology
• 7–10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, or related fields
• Strong Microsoft Admin skills including Remote Desktop Services
• Experience with cybersecurity tools like MFA, Windows Defender, and XDR/EDR
• Experience with ERP/SAP systems and vendor coordination
• Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing IT hardware
• Proficient in Microsoft Admin Centers and IT system documentation
• Ability to respond to urgent IT issues as needed (24/7 support not required)

• Certifications such as CCNA, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft-related certifications
• Experience in manufacturing IT environments
