We are seeking a IT Network Engineer
  • Client  : Japanese IT Company
  • Working Location: Houston, TX (Downtown) Hybrid (3 days per week at office)
  • Working hours (Optional) : 9:00- 17:00
  • Employment Type : Full-time
  • Salary : Base  $100,000 -110,000 per year + Full Benefit(Health, Dental, Vision insurance, 401K, PTO etc.)
Job Overview
1. IT Infrastructure system consultation:
• Develop and lead IT infrastructure related technological projects for clients.
• Create and present business proposals to improve customer’s business value or to enhance business efficiency.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities.
• Review and analyze company information, including business process, IT related documents, technological data to plan projects.
• Assist clients to check their IT infrastructure complies company’s guidelines and compliance standards

2. Project Management:
• Plan and implement network, security, and some other IT infrastructure related projects
• Communicate with customers to help defining project scopes, goals, and deliverables
• Define tasks and required resources
• Manage project team
• Create and oversee project budgets
• Allocate project resources
• Create schedule and project timeline
• Oversee project logistics to meet project schedule
• Track deliverables
• Support and directing project team
• Advocate on behalf of team members by securing adequate resources for success
• Lead quality assurance
• Monitor and report on project progress
• Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problem and solutions
• Implement and manage changes when necessary to meet project outputs
• Evaluate and assess result of project
• Establish and maintain good relationships with IT vendors and fully utilize, well manage, control their capabilities.

3. Network engineering, management, and operation:
• System engineering as followings:
  1. Design, implement, and refine product development, testing, and manufacturing processes.
  2. Manage staff and assign tasks to engineering and technical personnel.
  3. Lead teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes.
  4. Strive to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs, and to reduce waste.
  5. Secure the resources needed for teams to excel, including researching and proposing capital investments.
  6. Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including investors and potential customers.
  7. Maintain high level expertise in their field or sector.
  8. Assure that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines.
  9. Collaborate with other team leaders and departments.
  10. Forge and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.

• Data Center management and operation
  1. Colocation service management and maintenance
  2. Cloud (IaaS/PaaS) service management and maintenance

• Security system engineering as followings:
a Define security requirement, designing, implementation, management, and operation such as following
  1. Firewall / Web application firewall
  2. Intrusion Detection System / Intrusion Detection and Prevention
  3. Multi Factor Authentication
  4. Network Access Control
  5. Endpoint Detection and Response / Managed Detection and Response
  6. Proxy
  7. Anti-virus / malware
• Network system engineering as followings:
a Define network requirement, designing, implementation, management and operation such as following
  1. Router
  2. Switch
  3. Firewall
  4. Wi-Fi system
  5. MPLS network service
  6. Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)
  7. SD-WAN / SD-LAN
  8. Remote VPN solution
  9. WAN Optimization and Acceleration
• Telephone system engineering as followings:
a Define system requirement, designing, implementation, management, and operation such as following
  1. On-premises PBX
  2. Cloud PBX services
• Video conference system, digital whiteboard selection, implementation, management, and maintenance

Requirement:
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong documentation skills
• Comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP/IP.
• Technical analysis, design, and planning skills.
• Technical knowledge and experience and understanding of system engineering concepts, principles, theories and overall process.
• Analyzing, solving problems and developing recommendations and solutions; reporting skills and working effectively with manager, clients, vendors, peers and subordinates and communicating effectively both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of latest technology trends, technical management, information analysis, data center management and data governance.
• Experienced in PMI Project Management principles
• Team Orientated approach (i.e. Colleagues, Clients, and Vendors)
• Bachelor degree is preferred.
• 4-7 years of System Engineering Experience and 2-4 years of Project Management Experience is required.
